Using tax payer funds that could be spent on developing renewable solutions, taking years to develop, polluting the heart of Aboriginal lands, using loads of precious water to mine, risking nuclear weapon proliferation and leaving a toxic legacy for the future.  

If nuclear energy is the answer, it must be a very stupid question.

The Low Down

Ranger Uranium Mine
Ranger uranium mine was developed despite the opposition of the Mirrar people -the traditional owners of the area . Yet since 1981, there have been more than 120 spillages and leaks of contaminated water at the mine, located in the world heritage-listed Kakadu National Park .   " CANCER cases among Aboriginal people living near Australia's biggest uranium mine appear to be almost double the expected rate.."
